Return to the basics of oil painting with a small still life using a shadow box, a viewfinder and several small items under controlled lighting conditions. Come away with a framable oil-on-canvas painting.  

Create your own medallion sculpture using oil clay and clay carving tools. Make a portrait or animal (or anything!) on the front and back of a large coin. Use inspiring words to further enhance your design.

Resume work on the sculpted medallions then prepare to cast them in plaster. Afterward, use paints and patinas to make them look like they’re made of bronze.
