Make your own lively marionette figure.  Use plaster, wire, wood (and maybe some luck-‘o-the-Irish) to create interactive and entertaining 3-D kinetic sculptures.

Use a variety of oil pastel and painting techniques, including layering and washes, to bring vitality to your artwork! Experiment with dry brush, wet on wet, masking, resist and other experimental mixed-media techniques.

Create frame-able self portraits, or family portraits from projected light and paper. This 18th Century art form will be revived for one night only to capture your “best side”!

Learn the delicious art of rolling your own sushi...share your creations with other members of the group, or savor for yourself! Veggies, seafood, rice and even sizzling beef will be part of your artistic palette!

Honor your special mother with a handmade card using a smorgasbord of paper crafts and decorative elements. Use colorful papers, stickers and designs to create unique handmade cards and envelopes!

Visualize your alter-ego with hinged paper masks and acrylic paints. We will use the “transformation masks” of Native Americans of the Northwest Coastline as inspiration for our own kinetic artworks.

Use plaster gauze to pre-texture panels as a foundation for adding metallic and colored paint layers; learn how to make the most of texture in acrylic painting.
