WORKS SELECTED FOR “MY SISTER’S SMILE” INTERNATIONAL PHOTO EXHIBITION:

30 photographs from the Greater Metro Area and 30 from Heart, Afghanistan were selected for printing based on artistry, image quality, and how well the images paired with each other.  The  photographers from the USA selected for printing include:

All submitted works, including those not printed, will be displayed in a rolling digital display. All photographers that submitted photos may proudly claim to have participated in this international exhibition.

THE EXHIBITION:

The exhibit will be displayed simultaneously at the Iowa Western Community College Arts Center, UNO’s Milo Bail Student Center and in Herat, Afghanistan. The exhibit will remain on view at IWCC from March 8 to April 8, 2017. The exhibition will be mirrored at UNO during CASA Week, March 13-18, 2017.

A Screening and Panel Discussion of the documentary Salam Neighbor begins at 7pm.

At the conclusion of the exhibition, all printed images will be donated and permanently archived in the Library of the City of Council Bluffs, IA, and/or the Center for Afghan Studies at UNO, Omaha, NE.
